togedapp: lists, expenses, and a connected home for the whole family

New · Apple Watch

Your home, on your wrist.

Turn on the lights, check for spare solar, glance at your expenses, and check off your list. Without reaching for your iPhone.1

New · iPhone Duo

More screen. More home.

Open it, and Home, Devices, Energy, and Expenses spread out into two columns.2

togedapp for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch

Your home, together.

Lists, expenses, your connected home, and your energy. One app for everyone who lives under the same roof.

Energy

Your energy, at a glance.

Where it comes from, where it goes, and what it costs. And whether it’s a good time to run the washer, right on your wrist.4

New · Apple Watch

togedapp, now on Apple Watch.

What you use most, a glance away: your favorites, the energy right now, this month’s expenses, and the list for wherever you are.1

To each their own. Favorites belong to each person, and your watch shows the same things you can see on iPhone, with the same permissions.

No passwords. Tap Connect with your iPhone nearby and you’re done: your watch uses your togedapp account.

Knows where you are. It relies on the arrival your iPhone detects, so your watch never asks for your location.

No accidental taps. Items you check off on your watch stay in view for two minutes, in case it was a stray tap.

Requires an Apple Watch with watchOS 27 paired with an iPhone with togedapp. Home and Energy require Home Assistant and permission from the household’s creator.1

New · iPhone Duo

Open it. Your home unfolds.

togedapp is ready for iPhone Duo. Open it, and Home, Devices, Energy, and Expenses switch to two columns, and if you leave it half open, each column stays on its own side of the hinge.2

Lists in two panes. Your lists on the left and the one you have open on the right, with a section for each store.
Energy, unfolded. What’s happening now on one side and the day’s curve on the other, so you can tell at a glance when to run the washing machine.
Closed, just as handy. On the outer display, the time, buttons, and tabs sit in the right-hand column, just as iOS 27.1 expects.

iPhone Duo requires iOS 27.1.

Lists

The list that remembers for you.

Groceries, chores, homework, or packing for vacation. Create lists for the whole family, just for you, or for whoever you choose, and check things off together, in real time.

A heads-up when you arrive. Link a list, or just one of its sections, to a place. When you get to the supermarket, togedapp reminds you what you still need.5

On your Lock Screen. While you shop, what’s left stays in view with a Live Activity, in the Dynamic Island too.6

Know when something’s added. Turn on notifications for a list and you’ll know when someone adds something. They’re grouped: five items in a row, just one notification.7

Organized by section. Fruit, dairy, cleaning supplies… Organize each list by category. Checked items clear themselves after 24 hours, if you like.

Expenses

Split the bills. Not the family.

Log an expense in three taps8 and togedapp does the rest: who paid, everyone’s share, and who owes whom. No spreadsheets, and no arguments around the dinner table.

Split your way. Equally, per person, or per family unit. Perfect when several families share a home: grandparents, kids, and grandkids.

Balances always up to date. You’re owed, you owe, or you’re all settled up. Everyone sees their balance as soon as someone logs an expense, and gets a notification.

Fewer transfers. togedapp suggests a few payments to settle up, instead of everyone paying everyone. And if someone would rather treat, that’s recorded too.9

Month by month. Household, group, and personal expenses, each with its own breakdown by category and its activity.

Smart Home

Your whole home, one tap away. For the whole family.

togedapp connects to your Home Assistant10 and brings lights, plugs, fans, blinds, doors, robot vacuums, and the alarm together in an app anyone can use, from the little ones to the grandparents.

Room by room. Your Home Assistant rooms with their lights, plugs, fans, blinds, and robot vacuums, organized by type, plus each room’s temperature and humidity.

You decide who sees what. Choose which rooms and devices each member sees, and who can check the energy or the automations.

Beyond the app, too. Widgets for the Home Screen and StandBy, a control for Control Center and the Action button, and your favorites on Apple Watch. And the garage, from CarPlay too.11

Doors without surprises. For garages and gates, the first tap gets it ready and the second activates it. Nothing opens because of a brush in your pocket.

At home and away. It uses the local connection when you’re home and the remote one when you’re out, without you touching a thing.12

Automations, made clear. See your Home Assistant automations explained in sentences anyone can understand, and when they last ran.

Requires a Home Assistant server. togedapp is not an official Home Assistant product.10

Tags and guests

Tap your iPhone. And there was light.

Stick an NFC tag, or its QR code, in each room. Hold your iPhone near it and togedapp opens that room and turns on whatever you choose. And visitors can use it without installing anything13, only for what you allow and for a few hours.

A sticker for every room. Write it from the app itself, or print its QR code. You change what it does in the app, without touching the sticker again.14

Lights as you walk in. Each tag can do nothing, turn on, or turn on and off the lights and plugs you choose, every time someone holds their iPhone near it.

Guests without the app. With an App Clip, visitors control only the devices you select, for 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours from the last tag they tap.13

Only inside your home. The App Clip checks with the iPhone that the tap happens at your home, and you see every guest session and can end it whenever you like.

Tags work with lights, plugs, fans, blinds, robot vacuums, and buttons; never with the alarm. For guests, Home Assistant needs a public address and a user just for them.13

Energy

Good time to do laundry? togedapp will tell you.

If you have solar panels, a battery, or a meter connected to Home Assistant, you can see at a glance where your energy comes from, where it goes, and what it costs you.4

What it costs you. Set up your tariff—peak, mid-peak, and off-peak, contracted power, surplus, and taxes—and see what you’ve spent today and this month, and what the sun saves you.16

Every day, saved. Each day’s curve with what you generated, what you consumed, and your self-sufficiency, to compare whenever you like.17

Kiosk Mode

Your iPad, now the home dashboard.

Put it in the kitchen or the entryway and choose which devices it shows. No lists, no expenses, no personal data: perfect for kids and guests to turn on the lights without touching anything else.19

One tap, and there’s light. Tap to turn things on or off. Touch and hold a light to adjust its brightness and color.

A screensaver that helps. When no one’s using it, it shows the time, the indoor temperature, and the weather outside.

Night mode. From 11 PM to 7 AM it turns red and dims, so no one gets dazzled in the dark.

And lots of little touches you’ll notice.

For everyone

Grandma‑approved. And grandkid‑friendly.

togedapp was born in a real family, grandparents included. That’s why the text is easy to read, the buttons are clear, and everything always stays in the same place.

  • Text at your size. It respects the text size you choose on your iPhone.

  • Always in its place. The tabs and the sections on Home never change order: once you learn it, it stays learned.

  • Works with VoiceOver, too. Every control says what it is and what state it’s in.

Frequently asked questions.

What is togedapp?

togedapp is an app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch that brings together everything a family shares at home: lists, expenses, smart home devices, and energy use. Each member uses it on their own device, and everything syncs instantly.

Do I need Home Assistant?

Not for lists and expenses, which work from day one. To control devices and see your energy, you need a Home Assistant server: the person who creates the household connects it, and also decides what each member can see and use.

How does my family join?

The person who creates the household shares a six-character code. Each person enters it on their iPhone or iPad after signing in, and the household’s creator approves the request and chooses their permissions.

Can visitors use the home?

Yes, if you connect Home Assistant. Stick an NFC tag or a QR code in the room and choose what guests can use: anyone without the app opens it with an App Clip, without installing anything, and only for a few hours. You see every session and can end it whenever you like.

What do I need to use it?

An iPhone or iPad with iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 and an Apple Account to sign in with Sign in with Apple. Energy tips written with Apple Intelligence require a compatible device; on other devices, the app gives the same tip with standard text.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. On iPad it makes the most of the extra width with two columns, and you can also turn it into a wall panel with Kiosk Mode, which only shows the devices you choose.

Does it work on iPhone Duo?

Yes. With iOS 27.1, when you open iPhone Duo, Home, Devices, Energy, and Expenses switch to two columns and lists split into two panes. Half open, each column stays on its own side of the hinge, and when it’s closed, the app adapts to the outer display.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes, starting with version 1.2, for Apple Watch with watchOS 27. It has four pages: Home, with your favorite devices; Energy, with the power right now; Expenses, with this month’s spending and your balance; and Lists, which opens the list for wherever you are. It connects with the togedapp account on your iPhone, so you don’t have to sign in again.

Is my data safe?

togedapp has no ads, doesn’t sell data, and doesn’t use analytics or tracking. Your household’s data is stored on servers in the European Union, only members of your household can see it, according to their permissions, and you can delete your account right from the app.

What languages is it available in?

Spanish and English, based on your iPhone or iPad language. Notifications reach each person in their device’s language.

More help in Support

Everything’s easier together.

togedapp for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Screens and charts on this page are illustrations recreated from the app, with sample data.

  1. The Apple Watch app requires an Apple Watch with watchOS 27 paired with an iPhone with togedapp and, the first time, your iPhone nearby to connect it. Home and Energy require Home Assistant with a public address and permission from the household’s creator. Home shows up to six favorites, which you mark on your iPhone. Your watch catches up when you open it and every few seconds while you’re looking at it, not instantly. ↩
  2. Two columns and two panes require iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1. ↩
  3. togedapp requires iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 and an Apple Account to sign in with Sign in with Apple. Everyone in the household signs in with their own account. ↩
  4. Energy requires Home Assistant with its Energy dashboard set up, with solar panels, a battery, or a grid meter. If there’s no energy data, the tab doesn’t appear, and other members see it if the household’s creator allows it. ↩
  5. Arrival alerts require allowing location access “Always” and notifications. A place is detected within about 150 meters, and iOS monitors up to 20 places per app. ↩
  6. The Live Activity appears when you arrive at a place with items left if you allow Live Activities (Settings → Apps → togedapp). The Dynamic Island is only on iPhone models that have it. ↩
  7. Alerts for what’s added are turned on list by list, on family and shared lists. Everything added within the same minute arrives in a single alert. ↩
  8. In the simplest case: the amount, the category, and save. ↩
  9. The payments togedapp suggests are a proposal for settling up. togedapp doesn’t make payments or move money: you move the money yourselves, then record it in the app. ↩
  10. Home requires your own Home Assistant server. The person who creates the household connects it and decides what each member can see and use. It works with lights, plugs, fans, blinds, robot vacuums, buttons, and the alarm. togedapp isn’t an official Home Assistant product. ↩
  11. The control for Control Center and the Action button asks for Face ID when your iPhone is locked. The Action button is only on iPhone models that have it. In CarPlay, the Doors widget requires a car with a touchscreen. ↩
  12. To use your home while you’re out, Home Assistant needs a public address, for example with Home Assistant Cloud (paid) or Cloudflare Tunnel. If you add the local address, it’s used whenever it responds. ↩
  13. Guests open the tag with an App Clip, which only exists on iPhone and iPad: other phones can’t use it. The App Clip asks to confirm the location. For guests, Home Assistant needs a public address and a user just for them. Tags never activate the alarm. ↩
  14. Writing and reading NFC tags requires an iPhone. iPad doesn’t have NFC: on iPad, use the tag’s QR code. ↩
  15. Advice written with Apple Intelligence requires a compatible device, Apple Intelligence turned on, and the device set to Spanish or English. Apple Intelligence may not be available in all countries or languages. When it isn’t, togedapp gives the same advice with standard text. ↩
  16. Costs are an estimate based on the tariff you set up, not your utility’s bill. Periods follow Spain’s 2.0TD tariff. ↩
  17. Each day is saved overnight by connecting to Home Assistant through its public address. When you start, the last 9 days that Home Assistant keeps are recovered. ↩
  18. In the app, weather comes from Apple Weather (WeatherKit), for your home’s coordinates in Home Assistant or, if there aren’t any, your device’s location. ↩
  19. Kiosk Mode is only for iPad. It shows the devices you choose, and the only way out is signing out. Night mode runs from 11 PM to 7 AM. ↩
  20. The tariff counts Spain’s fixed-date national holidays; regional, local, and movable holidays aren’t included. togedapp is available in Spanish and English. ↩
  21. Your household’s data is stored with Google Firebase in the European Union, encrypted at rest. Sign-in and notifications may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Full details are in the privacy policy. ↩
  22. Delete your account in Home → your profile → Account → Delete Account, confirming with Sign in with Apple. Shared expenses and settlements are kept: they’re money other people paid, and deleting them would change their balances. ↩
